Hola! I’m Krystal
Krystal is a Puerto Rican Broadway and TV actress from Waltham, MA.
She was most recently seen as Anna of Cleves in SIX: the Musical on Broadway, making this her Broadway debut, after starring in the same role in the Canadian company in 2024. You can also catch her on NBC’s new comedy Stumble as Maria.
Keep an eye out for season 28 of Law and Order: SVU on NBC and season 2 of Big Mistakes on Netflix!
She has performed on stages across North America, and has had the pleasure of leading shows in many of Greater Boston’s most prestigious stages including a regional tour of Octavio Solis’ Quixote Nuevo that stopped at the Huntington and starring as Olivia in American Repertory and Company One’s co-production of Miss You Like Hell. She most recently workshopped a new musical Roja with writers Jaime Lozano and Tommy Newman with direction by Florencia Cuenca. She will be singing music from their new musical Desaparecidas at the New York Theatre Barn on October 26th, 2026!
She has been obsessed with story telling since she can remember. Her passion really lies in using her voice and body as a vessel to tell stories that heal, challenge and embrace the human experience. As a Puerto Rican actress, she strives to add to the canon of what it means to live through the Latinx experience and to redefine stereotypes that come with that. She holds a BFA in Acting from Salem State University.
“Krystal Hernández handles Anne of Cleves’s complex character with effortless grace and agility”
Six The Musical | Glenn Sumi, The Globe and the Mail
“Hernandez has success as Olivia, delivering a nicely modulated portrayal that builds persuasively from brooding alienation to active engagement, and culminates in Hernandez’s devastating performance of the title number.”
